The Juice Peddler - Sustainable & Responsible Business of the Week

The Juice Peddler (Berkeley CA) makes human-powered bike blenders that are used around the world by individuals, restaurants and cafes, and large businesses. While peddling a bicycle or stationary bike, the bike blenders can make smoothies, margaritas, juice drinks, iced coffee, hummus, dips, and anything else that requires a blender.

The Juice Peddler values a collaborative work environment and strives to keep manufacturing and other work processes local. The company pays above average wages and engages employees in design, manufacturing, and distribution.

The Juice Peddler was founded in 2002 by Nate Byerley.

Sustainable & Responsible Business of the Week is a weekly behind-the-scenes look at what businesses are doing to be more sustainable and responsible in their operations.

Sustainable & Responsible Business of the Week: If they can do it, so can you!
